Job Description
Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to assist with maintaining an industrial laundry facility. Responsibilities include assisting with repairing, maintaining, installing and troubleshooting industrial equipment, systems and components including, but not limited to, washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyor systems and boilers; assisting with performing preventive/predictive maintenance; resolving safety concerns; performing indoor and outdoor housekeeping; monitoring inventory supplies and maintaining maintenance records.
Skills/Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years' experience repairing industrial processing equipment in an industrial environment or in the military
- Ability to read maintenance literature printed in English
- Experience with and ability to read a blueprint
- Basic Microsoft Office computer skills
- Ability to stand for up to 7 hours in an 8 hour shift
- High School Diploma/GED
Preferred
- Boiler knowledge
- HVAC experience
- Experience and ability to perform welding activities including MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting and brazing

Allied Reliability is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians for 3rd shift. These positions are direct hire with a reputable organization in the South Beloit, IL area.
The Maintenance Technician must be able to troubleshoot all equipment, conduct regular repairs and complete preventative maintenance as required. These are skilled mechanic positions requiring knowledge of equipment maintenance and electrical troubleshooting in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Allied Reliability is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to assist with maintaining an industrial laundry facility. *Must Have Industrial Maintenance Experience*.
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Inspects plant equipment to identify potential problems prior to breakdown occurrences.
- Answer line calls in a prompt manner and carry required tools to complete work safety and efficiently
- Complete scheduled jobs and work orders as assigned
- Assist during process upsets as needed.
- Participating in Root Cause Analysis and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) efforts through maintaining 5S standards and area/pillar activities as assigned.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment.
- Participate in safety and plant trainings.
- Maintains electrical control software in support of programming for the facility
- Programs HMIs, PLCs, Servos, and other electrical systems
- Makes timely and appropriate decisions when an emergency or breakdown occurs so that production interruption is minimized
- Diagnoses electrical problems and determines how to correct them, checking schematics, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary
- Instructs maintenance team members on proper electrical installation and repair techniques as appropriate
- Coordinates contract electrical installations or repairs in the facility
- Inspects electrical work in progress to ensure correct labor utilization and evaluate electrical training requirements
Must haves include…
- High School Diploma or GED and be at least 18 Years Old
- Minimum of 5 years related industrial experience industrial electrical maintenance or Associates Degree, certification, or applicable military training in Electrical Maintenance
- Experience with:
- Think under pressure and multi-task
- Work independently, as well as part of a team, and have shift flexibility
- Communicate, in English, in a clear and effective manner
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and P&ID drawings
- In depth knowledge of manufacturing, industrial maintenance, and industrial machine control principles and practices.
- Strong knowledge of LTT, energy control procedures and safe working procedures.
- PLC and AC/DC drive experience.
- Demonstrates flexibility to perform various job roles within the maintenance department as assigned.
- Programs HMIs, PLCs, Servos, and other electrical systems
- Accountable for keeping the Maintenance Leader and or Electrical Lead appraised of for electrical equipment conditions so that situations of major significance can be planned for to avoid major production downtime
- Defines electrical spare parts needs, such that inventories are maintained at appropriate levels
- Plans and lays out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams
- Must have knowledge of electrical code.
- Operate a computer, learn SAP and Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
There are some essential physical requirements specific to our work environment, including being able to:
- Ability to work weekends, nights and on a 12-hour shift rotation
- Ability to work overtime on short notice including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Working from heights (up to 150ft) including man lifts & climbing ladders
- Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee and squatting, push and pull 50 pounds)
- Exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable; and outside weather as needed
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis

possible to Engineering and design resources.
o Help document and develop standards for:
▪ Installing equipment and components
▪ Selecting standard piping & pneumatic components across
the site
▪ Trade safety
▪ Preventive and predictive maintenance
3. Replacing obsolete or substandard components. Must have a thorough
understanding and good working knowledge of pressure and mechanical
codes as relates to vessels, piping, combustion, weights and measures.
4. Installs, calibrates, repairs and services pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical
and mechanical types of instruments, scales and control; including
integrated controls and related systems.
5. Must be able to obtain adjustments within the specified tolerances.
6. Performs testing as required and directed.
7. Maintains working knowledge of the proper and effective lubrication of
valves, cylinders, gears, weights and interacting mechanical components.
8. Identify necessary human and materials resources required to complete
tasks.
9. Develop a job plan for the work orders.
10.Must obtain and apply an adequate working knowledge of the process
and energy systems in the plant; must be able to correct malfunctions
rapidly and without error or endangerment to production, people or
quality of product.
11.Instructs operating personnel as to proper care and operation of control
equipment. As required, directs and leads other personnel assigned to the
job, and provides assistance to engineers and technical personnel as
directed.
12.Repair and inspect any steam, gas, air, hydraulic, water process piping,
drain piping, and equipment in the plant.
13.Must be able to install rigging and hoisting for related equipment items.
14.Provide training to others and help identify training needs.
15.Reliability duties assigned to drive continuous improvement.
16.Drive continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.
17.Attend RCA meetings as needed.

Physical Requirements:
The following physical demands are necessary for the Pipe fitter to perform daily
duties. It would not be practical or feasible to eliminate these requirements.
• Shall be able to safely climb stairs, scaffolds and ladder steps.
• Shall be able to safely work from high surfaces.
• Shall be able to safely utilize proper fall protection equipment.

Job Qualifications:
• Have the ability to perform all duties with a minimum amount of
supervision.
• Have complete knowledge of, and perform all duties in compliance with,
the most current revision of plant safety, sanitation and working rules.
• Have complete knowledge of and current Emergency Cardiovascular
Care (ECC) certification for, Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR),
Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and First Aid (FA). To be considered
current training must be successfully completed per requirements ECC
guidelines.
• Have complete knowledge of appropriate application and utilization of
personal protective equipment specific to the trade.
• Have complete knowledge of appropriate application, utilization and
care of equipment and/or tools used in the trade.
• Have solid knowledge of, and proficiency in mathematical functions used
in the trade.
