Overview

Allied Reliability is seeking Licensed Electricians for a client in that develops, produces, and markets a broad range of mineral and mineral-based products, related systems and services. The Electricians, under limited supervision, performs varied maintenance duties necessary to ensure continuous operation of the production facilities.  Must be skilled in multi-trades to handle the emergencies and to perform the routine maintenance work.  Skills may include piping, welding, millwright work, electrical work, instrumentation repair, etc.

Responsibilities

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Reads and interprets equipment manuals, work orders, blueprints, building drawings, and electrical schematics to perform required maintenance and service.
  2. Electrically troubleshoot and repair plant and mobile equipment/systems as needed.
  3. Inspects, diagnoses and troubleshoots plant and mobile equipment/system problems.
  4. Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, welding, cutting, lubrication, repairing power transmission equipment, millwrighting, pneumatics, hydraulics, and rigging.
  5. Performs preventive maintenance inspections and performs or recommends repairs.
  6. Recommends preventive maintenance programs, spare parts requirements and suggested inventory levels.
  7. Identifies required parts from equipment drawings.
  8. Communicates with others internal and external to the organization to obtain/provide information regarding equipment/system issues as needed.
  9. Utilizes established company computer systems to find repairable spares, inventory items, complete time card entries and sign out parts.
  10. Records pertinent labor information from work shift.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge of the English language, National Electrical Code,  electrical skills, basic mechanical skills  of industrial equipment/systems are required.  Knowledge of computers is preferred.

Must be able to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair all phases of electrical components/systems effectively, read and draw wiring schematics/diagrams, run pipe and wire to new and existing systems, remove and install electric drive components, acquire and maintain proper electrical supplies, and work with high voltage power supply. Must have the ability to use mechanical skill/knowledge such as welding, use of pipe threading machines, band saws, hand tools and drills.

 

Education: Incumbent should possess a thorough knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical trades, etc., equivalent to short specialized training beyond four years of high school.

 

Licensing: An electrician’s license is a must.
