Allied Reliability is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician for a Travel Contract (with potential to become a full-time, permanent position) working with one of our premier clients in Stockton, CA. You will be performing and overseeing all general maintenance duties to all warehouse buildings, equipment and rolling stock, as directed by the Terminal Manager. Possesses general mechanical skills and competencies in electrical and welding work. Responsible for maintaining the terminal and all equipment in a safe and efficient working manner. Set up and maintain maintenance schedules, daily, weekly and monthly.
• Perform routine and general maintenance procedures to all terminal assets
• Develop and implement a proactive preventive maintenance program for all terminal
• Assist, as directed, in vessel discharges, including the monitoring of inbound product into the storage bins and the proper positioning of overhead tripping equipment.
• Make every effort to minimize product degradation through the proper operation of the terminal equipment
• Constantly monitor product flow channels throughout the terminal to insure minimal product buildup on and in all equipment, including conveyors, hoppers, elevators
• Participate in all mandated safety training and exercises
• Train colleagues in terminal maintenance duties; become proficient in the operation of warehouse pay-loaders
• Read, understand and implement the Stockton Dry facility HESQ manual in all matters pertaining to this job
• Develop a good understanding of the companies Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Develop a thorough working knowledge of the bagging room, control room and attendant duties in order to function as the backup operator
• Maintain the rolling stock and all other warehouse equipment in a clean, safe and efficient manner at all times
• Reports any and all equipment problems to the Terminal Manager
• Performs any other duties assigned by the Terminal Manager, including cross training with other members of the terminal staff and assistance with vessel discharges
The position holder must to be able to:
• Repetitive lifting and carrying (up to 50 lbs. bags)
• Use shovel to pick-up heavy cargo
• Pick-up heavy material (25-50 lbs.)
• Work on confined spaces
• Work at heights (up to 150 feet)
• Work on feet for several hours, including bending and kneeling
• Wear respiratory protection, in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR Parts 1910 & 1926
• Wear all types of personal protective equipment, including fall protection
• Differentiate colors (not be color-blind)
• Work outdoors/indoors under extreme temperatures
• Work overtime and work adjusted hours/work days due to schedule changes when there is a need/requirement to deliver on terminal obligations.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of terminal maintenance experience
• Welding and electrical certification
• First aid, CPR, Blood borne Pathogen and AED certified
• Eligible for Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) • Strong mechanical / instrumentation skills
