Overview

Allied Reliability is seeking a Journeyman Electrician in Bettsville, Ohio. Responsibilities will include working on assigned projects with limited or no supervision while performing installation, construction, modification, and repair on electrical apparatuses, equipment and systems, ensuring the work is performed in accordance with all relevant codes and MSHA safety standards. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical systems including electric motors, electric controls, and scales.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on all instrumentation and automated components including calibrations as required
  • Test & monitor electrical systems, equipment, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

  • Monitors work done for adherence to the NEC requirements.

  • Maintains appropriate service and repair records, (records necessary for MSHA).

  • Follows blue prints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to conform to the building and safety codes.

  • Analyze and responds safely and appropriately to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service

  • Perform other duties as and when assigned

Qualifications

Basic requirements/qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or GED equivalency

  • Must take and receive a passing a score on a Ramsay Journeyman Electrician exam.

  • Demonstrated competency in preventative, predictive and computerized electrical maintenance management systems
  • Inspection and identification and knowledge of all electrical distribution systems 

  • Posses strong troubleshooting experience with single and three phase (120, 240, & 480v systems), industrial experience with DC & large horsepower units.
