Responsibilities

Successful execution of quality engineering tasks requiring the application and interpretation of standard and advanced principles, techniques and procedures in a professional, productive and creative manner. Should demonstrate the ability to successfully complete tasks on schedule and within budget. Should demostrate working knowledge of quality engineering techniques, processes and products. Performs work that requires knowledge and experience in the field of quality engineering which may include a variety of complex technical problems, innovation, and coordination to complete assignments.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in (and lead where appropriate) processing customer complaints to include problem solving, corrective actions and preventative actions in an effort to minimize response times and maximize customer satisfaction. Use structured problem solving approaches to interface with manufacturing and engineering to effectively resolve internal/external non-conformances.
    • Develop statistical approaches to analyzing/evaluating defect data to allow for disposition and corrective action of serious issues as well as trending issues.
    • Collect, record and report product and process quality metrics for review and action.
    • Interface with Design Engineering, Product Management, and Manufacturing Engineers on existing products and new product launches.
    • Provide first piece inspections reports and/or initial sample submissions for all new products and per any specific customer requirements.
    • Participate with all departments on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with the company’s Quality and Regulatory System requirements.
    • Create, issue and implement control plans on an on-going basis, for existing and new products.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• BS Engineering or equivalent degree .
• Computer competency / expertise, ability to learn TPM Business and Quality Systems. Familiarity with SPC preferred.
• Five or more years of relevant technical experience.
• ASQ CQE Certification preferred.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred.
• Conducts work with Safety in mind.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience and working knowledge of ISO 13485 preferred
