Allied Reliability is seeking talented individuals for a Predictive Vibration Specialist opportunity with an industry leading manufacturer in Ghent, KY. This position is responsible for providing professional service and technical support to Maintenance and Operations departments through collection, analysis, and reporting of machine health data to improve the process reliability, quality and productivity.  This position is responsible for the development and management of, at minimum, the Vibration Predictive Maintenance Program. 




Manages vibration data collection, analysis and reporting to provide predictive machine health information to Maintenance Engineers.

Communicates and coordinates with Maintenance Personnel to collect predictive data and provides technical expertise and support on equipment abnormalities to avoid costly downtime, reduce maintenance costs and increase equipment utilization.

Maintains up to date and accurate documentation of analyzed data and repair recommendations in the defined reliability database.

Initiates and/or contributes to Root Cause Failure Analysis reports by troubleshooting equipment failures and providing insight for corrective actions.

Evaluates plant equipment for, and assists in the implementation of other Predictive Maintenance technologies

Creates or contributes to the development of preventative maintenance procedures,  best practice guidelines and standard maintenance procedures to improve equipment reliability.

Achieves department performance goals and expectations for improving equipment reliability.

Defines and scopes projects, makes engineering drawings or layouts, writes engineering reports, makes cost estimates, obtains bids, writes work orders, makes recommendations to management, obtains approval to purchase necessary equipment and materials, and works with Maintenance and Operations Personnel to install machine health monitoring systems.

Defines, prepares and controls work order jobs. Prepares work instruction, orders and secures spare parts for jobs to be completed. Reviews all work done for proper completion to ensure the orderly and efficient utilization of Maintenance manpower and materials.

Follows OSHA regulations as it applies to engineering design, constructions, maintenance and equipment installation to assure the comapnies compliance to safety and health requirements.

Keeps abreast of new machine health monitoring equipment and techniques by reading appropriate journals, associating with professional organizations, trade associations, colleagues, equipment vendors, service companies, consultants, and government agencies, and attending conferences, training courses, and continuing education courses as appropriate. 




  1. Reports to and is accountable to the Mechanical Maintenance Manager. 
  2. Has freedom of contact throughout the company on Operations and Maintenance Engineering activities, particularly with Engineering, Operations and Maintenance Personnel.
  3. Externally, interfaces with equipment manufacturers and vendors concerning engineering data, performance specifications on new installations and existing equipment.








  1. Engineering Degree or relevant experience. 
  2. Proficient computer skills.
  3. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  4. Strong mechanical aptitude  & problem solving abilities.

  3. Report the absence of or defect in any protective equipment or clothing to the Supervisor or Manager immediately.
  4. Use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that is required to be used or worn:
  • Safety shoes
  • Safety glasses
  • Hearing protection
  • Hard hat
  1. Report to the Safety Coordinator, Group Lead or Supervisor any contravention of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations or Company policy.
  2. Must follow all Lock out Tag out (LOTO) guidelines for designated machines.
  3. Maintain a clean and safe working area.
