Allied Reliability is seeking talented individuals for a Reliability Engineer opportunity with an industry leading manufacturer in Ghent, KY. The Reliability Engineer provides reliability engineering leadership and support for the site. This position focuses on enhancing equipment reliability through analysis and day-to-day troubleshooting of failed equipment. Is responsible for assessing the quality, robustness, and capability of the process and the reliability of the equipment within the processes. Provides guidance in making decisions with others to modify production equipment as needed. They will provide reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for equipment reliability, availability and robustness. Conducts analysis of reliability problems and investigates to determine the required reliability approach for a particular situation, with consideration given to cost limitations for equipment uptime/downtime, repair/replacement costs and availability of materials/equipment.


  1. Lead and manage, through collaboration, with all co-workers in their area the RCA program for equipment issues.
  2. Develop Corrective Actions from RCA's that will improve the reliability of the equipment/process.
  3. Follow up and report on Corrective Actions to determine their effectiveness.
  4. Helps define PdM technologies that will be deployed on critical equipment to address failure modes.
  5. Monitor and take action on condition monitoring results provided by the PdM group..
  6. Help facilitate condition monitoring compliance to schedule to meet department goals..
  7. Develop and approve PM Optimization mitigation strategies working with PM Planners.
  8. Facilitate collaboration with Maintenance Engineers to support TPM in Equipment Design
  9. Manages the equipment hierarchy and equipment database in the CMMS.
  10. Work within the assigned area to ensure integrity of data in the CMMS.
  11. Help define training needs for operators and maintenance personnel in the assigned area.
  12. Works with others to monitor and improve MTBF and MTTR on production equipment.
  13. Reports on reliability issues regularly which will provide clear insight on equipment problems





  • Well versed in industrial equipment RCA including 5 Why, Ishikawa, and Cause Mapping methods.
  • Knowledgeable in ISO 14224 standards and application.
  • Experience with standard CMMS functions.
  • Able to perform basic maintenance analytics.
  • If not already familiar, has a desire to learn advanced analytic tools such as SQL.
  • Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance.
  • Has a basic understanding of RCM methodology.
  • Understands the principles and application of industrial Condition Monitoring technologies.
  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • BS degree or equivalent experience.



  1. Bachelor's degree and 2 years experience in an industrial maintenance role
  2. Proficient computer skills
  3. Project management experience and good organizational skills
  4. Good written and verbal communication skills
