Allied Reliability is seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Mechanic to join a dynamic client. The Maintenance Mechanic performs the necessary maintenance duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety and production maintenance systems and processes to support the site’s business goals and objectives.


Essential Functions:


• The incumbent is required to perform various mechanical maintenance tasks as needed.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and shop drawings.
• Utilizes shop equipment (grinders, drills, etc.) to fabricate machinery parts.
• Installs, rebuilds, repairs, and maintains plant manufacturing, mixing and lab equipment.
• Knows and willingly practices all safety rules and procedures including the wearing of appropriate safety apparel.
• Assist with the timely repair of equipment in the event of breakdown.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks in a timely manner to insure operation of all equipment, in an efficient and safe manner.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Train others in the proper maintenance procedures.
• Support site housekeeping, maintaining a work place that is clean and safe.
• Support site safety.
• Participates in ISO 9001 and 14001 certification activities.
Maintains detailed and accurate records.
• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Maintain/repair physical structure of the building and grounds
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, PLCs and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Keeps supervisor informed on work problems and progress or completion of work assignments. Reports any condition, which could cause machinery, equipment, or tools not to perform within its capabilities, or not produce a product whose quality and appearance does not meet or exceed customer’s expectations.
• Reports to the plant immediately when notified of an emergency and to work on or off shift if required. Will be required to carry a mobile telephone when assigned as on call.

•Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.







The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience working within a manufacturing facility. 


• Indoors and outdoors as needed. Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.
• Will work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required.
• Will work in areas where toxic, flammable, and hazardous materials are present.
• Will be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
• Work surfaces include concrete, steel grating, black top, facility roof, etc.
• Use of telephone and computer keyboard.
• Employee must be able to operate a hand truck and/or material handling equipment.
• Participates in Safety Meetings.

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds on occasion.
• Must be able to climb and descend stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, crawl
• Must be able to use hands to finger, handle and feel
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, hear, and have good color vision and depth perception.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Able to climb a ladder and/or use a man-lift.
• Able to work at heights up to 30 feet.
