The Electrical Reliability Engineer will interact with the operations, maintenance, administrative and corporate staff on projects of varying size and scope. While based out of the facility in Pryor, OK, this role will travel up to 25-30% to other company sites to consult on projects as necessary.


  • Responsible for driving company compliance with the NEC and driving electrical reliability and integrity at the facilities.
  • Develop and advance the PM electrical maintenance program including developing a strategy for electrical inspections during plant outages to insure reliability.
  • Develop relationships with electrical utility suppliers and drive high availability and reliability of the power supply to the facility.
  • Responsible for the development and ongoing revisions to the Electrical System Engineering Model (SKM) including Short Circuit, Coordination studies and Arc Flash Hazard Analysis
  • Lead on all Electrical improvement projects and SME to all projects requiring connections to the plant electrical system.
  • Drive troubleshooting of electrical failures and failure mechanisms as well as supporting the troubleshooting of electrical supplies to controls and control devices.
  • Assist the plants in establishing top of class inspection procedures including the selection of subcontract inspection and testing services.
  • Leader for electrical RCAs and electrical incident investigations
  • Maintain a safe, secure and healthy work environment by adhering to and enforcing plant safety and environmental requirements.
  • Responsible for the design, selection, installation and maintenance requirements of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS).
  • Works with site stakeholders to ensure that electrical drawings are developed and maintained to reflect as-built conditions.
  • Serves as the primary owner of a 5-year capital plan for all electrical infrastructure at the site.
  • Collaborates with peers within other company sites to develop and share best practices that improve safety, reliability and productivity.
  • Serves as a coach and mentor to increase the overall electrical knowledge and capabilities of the site staff and front line employees.
  • Works in collaboration with others to drive a digital transformation within the company, ensuring that electrical data, including power quality monitoring, is available and accessible when needed.


  • BS Electrical Engineering, MS is a plus. Master Electrician with significant petrochemical experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant operations and equipment integrity.
  • Experience in supervising petrochemical projects.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
  • Understanding of proper safety procedures and recognition of hazards
