Overview

Allied Reliability is looking for an enthusiastic individuals to fill the position of Production Operator for one of the world's leading producers of self-adhesive label materials.

Responsibilities

What you will do

 

  • Load and unload laminate reels on/off winders, running the machine and recording reel transactions  
  • Closely monitor product quality, assuring first quality material shipped to customers
  • Report machine breakdowns/faults, possible quality defects not marked in coating and other process disturbances to supervisor
  • Coordinate with supervisor and production planning to optimize the material/order flow
  • Handle material and coil, shipping, and receiving
  • Operate Forklift, Clamp truck and/or stand up
  • Perform all duties in full compliance of all laws, safety and environmental regulations, and in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures

Qualifications

Who you are  

 

  • You must have any combination of education and experience equivalent to High School education and 2-3 years’ work experience in an industrial setting
  • You work well within a team
  • You must have well-developed problem-solving skills, including the ability and willingness to apply a systematic approach to the process
  • You must have basic computer literacy. Basic mechanical knowledge is an advantage
  • You are able to learn all functions of the Finishing Department and adapt to changing needs required
  • You must have good oral and written communication skills, and the ability understand and adhere to written work instructions
  • Previous work experience in paper converting industry or experience working with web-handling equipment desired and previous Slitting/Finishing of pressure sensitive laminates preferred
