Overview

Allied Reliability is looking for a highly motivated Maintenance Mechanic to join a manufacturing facility.

Reporting to the Plant Engineer, the Maintenance Mechanic’s primary responsibility is to provide maintenance and troubleshooting support for the Production and Compounding equipment used on a daily basis.  

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure facility and premises are cleaned, inspection ready at all times
  • Service and schedule repairs, as needed
  • Service and perform preventative maintenance (PM) on chiller, compressor, AC units, RO system, pneumatic filling machine, proximity and level sensors, tube filling machine, motors, pumps
  • In coordination with operations, packaging, and manufacturing personnel, schedule PM / calibration on all process equipment in coordination with laboratory, packaging, and manufacturing supervisors
  • Assist in the revisions and writing of Standard Operating Procedures as it relates to Facilities and Maintenance
  • Order parts, as needed, for equipment, facilities, preventative maintenance, etc.
  • Work closely with personnel to ensure all areas are properly cleaned, equipment is in working order and the facility is in "inspection ready" state at all times
  • Work with and supervise outside contractors and vendors on maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and construction issues
  • Perform repairs and adjustments to machines, including filling machines, labeling machines
  • Keep records of work orders, quotes, and appropriate paperwork relative to any work performed on premises

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Requirements

 

  • Some college or vocational training is required
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience at a small to medium sized manufacturing facility
  • Demonstrated understanding of systems needed to operate a facility; i.e. HVAC, electrical, process systems, plumbing/piping, pneumatics, instrumentation/automation, carpentry, or general maintenance
  • Ability to lift objects weighing at least 50 lbs
  • Knowledge of building operating systems, maintenance and repair of utilities systems at a food/cosmetic/personal care industry/facility
  • Knowledge of all federal, state, and local codes and ordinance pertinent to facilities maintenance or willingness to learn
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills
