Overview

Allied Reliability is seeking a Store Room Leader for one of our clients located in the Turtle Lake, WI area. 

 

The Stores Attendant supports plant and equipment reliability by managing safe day-to-day operations of the MRO storeroom and associated storage areas. This includes logistics, administration, documentation, and management activities for all parts and supplies, from acquisition to disposal: safety, environmental, procurement, receipt, quality control, storage, physical security, movement of materials, control, issue, inventory, stock levels, kitting, staging, delivery, shipping, obsolescence, auditing, and general housekeeping, in compliance with all applicable standards, procedures, and policies. The Stores Attendant coordinates with other departments regarding MRO needs.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all established policies, processes, procedures, and practices while achieving short-term, defined key performance indicators (KPIs) and meeting PURIS and Plant goals and objectives.
  • Process and ensure accuracy for associated records and documentation for all Storeroom activity, including, but not limited to, requisition processing, procurement, receipt, storage, control, issuance, return-to-stock, inventory management, delivery of parts and services, shipping, and obsolescence.
  • Ensure that physical security barriers are secured at all times.
  • Move/relocate materials as required.
  • Perform receipt inspections on incoming items as required; stock received orders.
  • Ensure required parts and materials required for planned jobs are ordered and on hand before required delivery date.
  • Kit, stage, and deliver items for planned work orders.
  • Conduct activities required to maintain shelf life and scheduled Preventive Maintenance.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Enter and update equipment Bills of Material, working with maintenance personnel to ensure accuracy.
  • Improve parts management in CMMS, working with Maintenance functions and others.
  • Manage repair part returns.
  • Provide expertise and support to Maintenance, Procurement, and other Plant Personnel.
  • Manage day-to-day interface with OEM suppliers and vendors.
  • Keep Storeroom well organized, clean, uncluttered, with clear, up-to-date labeling.
  • Regularly audit inventory and locations of all items to ensure accuracy; make and document adjustments as needed.
  • Seek input from internal stakeholders for improvements on ease of use.
  • Conduct new employee and annual refresher Stores access training.
  • Prepare reports.
  • Identify and recommend stores-related improvements and corrective measures to prevent discrepancies.
  • Use interpersonal and leadership skills to solve non-complex employee relations problems and issues associated with cooperation, team building, job assignments, etc.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • One year of experience working in a manufacturing Storeroom.
  • Familiarity with MRO parts and inventory; ability to properly identify a wide variety of common MRO parts such as pumps, fans, motors, compressors, etc.
  • Knowledge of computers and database usage.
  • Ability to take and give verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to complete work assignments correctly and deliver results, in an expeditious and professional manner.
  • Good reading, writing, math, and administrative skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to give clear, concise instructions and make presentations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.
