Allied Reliability is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Reliability Engineering Manager to join a dynamic client. Successful candidates may be asked to relocate to one of three client manufacturing sites in El Dorado, AR, Pryor, OK, or Cherokee, AL. The Reliability Engineering Manager is key to our client's commitment to safe, compliant, productive and efficient operations on the foundation of reliable manufacturing assets. This position reports to the Director of Operations Excellence.


Our client is looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to provide their asset care knowledge obtained in a continuous chemical manufacturing (or similar) environment. The primary focus of this role is to improve the productivity and efficiency of our chemical manufacturing processes through the availability of reliable assets. This is a cross-site role that will rapidly create relationships with company leaders, peers and site leaders to further develop and rollout our reliability process and supporting programs. This is a 50% travel role. The Reliability Engineering Manager owns and must deliver the further development and optimization of the management systems, standards, policies, and tools the plants utilize to effectively maintain the manufacturing assets. This role prepares the candidate for future leadership roles at one of our manufacturing sites.


  • 5 to 10 years of relevant maintenance, reliability and technical leadership in a continuous process chemical manufacturing (or similar) environment.
  • Preferred experience would be in manufacturing of nitrogen-based fertilizers or petrochemical refining.
  • Direct leadership roles as plant/area maintenance or reliability supervision.
  • Prior experience in leading manufacturing improvement initiatives specific to the maintenance of manufacturing assets.
  • Facilitating, motivating and leading teams to improve business processes.
  • Prior experience driving or contributing to multi-year strategic initiatives aimed at achieving and sustaining operational excellence.
  • An emotionally intelligent leader who has demonstrated the ability to influence change and bring about a cultural transformation in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to share a vision and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge and experience working with assets covered by OSHA 1910.119, Process Safety Management (PSM).
  • Connecting safety, health and environmental work practices with work processes associated with maintaining assets.
  • Successes in leveraging tools such as dynamic work design, lean manufacturing, six sigma and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) to dramatically improve plant asset performance.
  • Application of leading-edge technologies to efficiently gather process and asset performance and condition data to bring about a digital transformation.
  • Worked directly with operating teams to develop interfaces that effectively move from data anomaly detection to effective response.
  • Development and implementation of procedures used to improve asset performance.
  • Experience using leading and lagging metrics to monitor and inspire progress and guide data-driven decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering preferred (or equivalent amount of experience)
  • Other preferences include a master’s degree in undergraduate discipline or in business and certification in lean manufacturing and/or six sigma methodologies.
