The Calibration Technician is responsible for performing gage calibrations and maintenance; maintaining the calibration database; issuing and collecting gages to users and retrieving gages due for calibration/repair.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.
Handles all materials to assure compliance to the clean core handling procedures.
Performs daily inquiries in the Calibration Database to determine gage recall status.
Assures that all gages due for calibration are gathered and staged for calibration.
Clean, set-up, and check gages for accuracy to known calibration standards.
Adjust and repair gages found to be out of tolerance.
Immediately notify manager of any gages found to be out of calibration tolerance.
Dispositions obsolete, broken, or otherwise unusable gages.
Issue toolboxes, gages, etc. to employees. Collects assigned calibration equipment/tools from departing employees.
Updates Calibration Database with gage calibration results, calibration due dates, gage location, and other gage information
REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associated Degree or equivalent.
Preferred 2 years’ experience in quality testing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel. Visual MRP system is a plus.
