The Corporate Reliability Engineer is an integral member of our client's Operational Excellence group and is responsible for developing, implementing and following-up on Continuous Reliability Improvement (CRI) excellence at North American sites. This role requires extensive travel (75-80%) and can be located anywhere in the United States as long as the candidate is within commutable distance of a major airport.


  • Support implementation of reliability excellence in client facilities and sustain improvements.
  • Responsible for working with plants to develop asset strategy. This will include development of DFMEA’s, FMEA’s and EMP’s.
  • Perform reliability assessments and complete follow-up work with the plants to close gaps.
  • Drive and implement maintenance best practices across North American facilities. This will include working directly on projects with the plants as well training plant personnel in reliability best practices (e.g., lubrication, planning, FMEA’s, predictive maintenance, asset strategy, root cause analysis….)
  • Use change management principles to drive reliability culture across facilities.
  • Data analysis of equipment maintenance histories to establish equipment maintenance plans, set spare part inventory requirements and focus improvement efforts to increase mean time between failures (MTBF).
  • Drive standardization of Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) across facility network. System to be optimized for spare parts inventory control, tracking equipment history, asset hierarchy, and tracking of key reliability leading indicator metrics.


  • BS degree in Engineering is preferred, with solid understanding of maintenance and reliability excellence.
  • Good understanding and demonstrated project management experience.
  • Good Computer Skills. (Includes knowledge of Microsoft products as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project, CAD experience is preferred).
  • Experience with data analysis from a computerized management system is helpful.
  • Minimum five years of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in using change management principles to successfully change organizational culture.
  • Demonstrated reliability engineering experience in Asset Strategy, PdM, PM, and Problem Solving to increase MTBF.
  • Maintenance experience in hydraulics, PLC and electrical system.
  • Preferred candidates will also have working knowledge of reliability best practices for Planning and Spare Parts Inventory.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of our organization from shop floor to top management.
  • Demonstrated teambuilding and change management skills
