Overview

Allied Reliability Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for 2nd and 3rd shift in the Cedar Rapids, IA area! 

 

The Maintenance Technician Level III must have mechanical knowledge of a Maintenance Mechanic 2 in addition to basic requirements listed. Must be able to troubleshoot all equipment, conduct regular repairs and complete preventative maintenance as required. It is a skilled mechanic position requiring knowledge of equipment and electrical troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Able to operate all production equipment and repair all mechanical equipment in assigned area.
  • Able to understand complex drawings and wiring diagrams and read blueprints.
  • Able to troubleshoot and repair basic 3 phase electrical components, and control voltage problems.
  • Able to electronically troubleshoot PLC controlled equipment by means of computer software.
  • Able to effectively stick or tig weld repairs on equipment.
  • Able to work independently on maintenance projects which includes new equipment installs and rebuilds.
  • Must be a self-starter and work with no supervision to complete assigned tasks.
  • Able to fabricate or modify support components of equipment.
  • Other duties assigned by maintenance supervisor

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Technical related field is highly preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to complete tasks independently.
  • Ability to work with all departments.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • At least 3 years previous experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to repair and troubleshoot plant equipment and machinery.
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of PLCs and prefer troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and schematics.
