The Commercial Truck Driver will deliver and pick up products in sack and/or bulk by driving the company's Commercial Motor Vehicles to and from Customers, including and not limited to Stores, Ranches, Vendors, etc. all while giving the best customer service possible.
Deliver orders safely
Use extreme caution while driving in farms; drive slowly and watch for children, pets, animals, flower beds, and lawns.
Watch for overhead wires and tree branches.
Avoid damage to property, buildings, bins.
Avoid spilling product; clean up spills.
Daily Truck Maintenance Each day before leaving or Operating the vehicle.
Check your oil
Check your tires
Check your water
Check for air leaks
Filling out Log Book Making sure log books and trip sheets are filled out completely and accurately; to be turned in at end of shift.
Sack Dry Van (Calif.)
The ability to deliver product to retailers/distributors within the state of California.
Driver Forklift Certified The ability to drive and operate a fork lift and/or hand cart.
Bulk Bobtail/Stinger The ability to deliver any type of bulk product.
Must have a current Class-A California Drivers License with a current Medical Certification and is responsible for keeping it current. Must be able to drive an 18-Wheeler Tractor Trailer, 10-Wheeler Bobtail, or Doubles, including Stinger Trailers and Dry Vans with Lift Gates. Must be able to lift up to 50 lb. feed bags, climb up 6 ft. - 30 ft. Ladders, drive a sit-down forklift, use an Electric Pallet Jack. Must be able to identify all different types of product for Quality and Consistency. Must take direction from Transportation Supervisor. Required to work directly with all customers and customer service regarding orders and coordination of delivery. Responsible for being on time with deliveries and keeping the company trucks clean at all times. Operate all equipment in a safe manner. Responsible for all safety checks on a regular basis and making sure the truck is in good working condition. Required to keep up to date with all laws that apply while driving a commercial motor vehicle in the state of California, and/or Nevada & Arizona.
