Allied Reliability is looking for a skilled Senior Reliability Professional that will be the lead person on multi-resource engagements, and responsible for providing engineering support to our clients organizations. This is a full-time postion which will be based from the employee's home office with travel up to 75%.



  • Work independently and as a team member to assess, design, train and implement preventive maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM) and reliability continuous improvement programs.
  • Have diverse experience in organizational management, maintenance and reliability, as well as practical experience in plant reliability and/or maintenance management.
  • Have exceptional skills and knowledge in particular areas such as work flow management, PM optimization, maintenance technology and/or reliability continuous improvement through FMEA, RCA, RCM, Life Cycle Cost Analysis, and other statistical methods.
  • Have expertise in process measurement as it relates to assessing current performance, trending and documenting improvement results.
  • Ability to prepare the necessary reports and provides presentations and training.

  • People skills; must be able to interact comfortably, gain trust and communicate effectively
  • Plan, schedule and manage travel, appointments and activities
  • Manage billing and keep supervisor and client informed on project accounting
  • Interview skills; ability to comfortably interact with shop floor to executive level
  • Presentation skills; be able to synthesize findings, create and deliver cogent presentations
  • Report generation; use Microsoft Office Suite to generate accurate reports with executive summary, detailed findings and recommendations for the path forward



  • Bachelor Degree – preferably in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, Mathematics, Business or related fields; may be waived if demonstrated capabilities clearly indicate expertise.
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) must be obtained within first year of employment. Other certifications in related fields encouraged. Preference is for persons published in technical and industry publications.  


  • Five or more year’s directly related maintenance and reliability experience.  


  • Knowledge of machinery fundamentals, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, etc.
  • Detailed knowledge of general mechanical fundamentals, such as fits and tolerances.
  • Strong understanding of electro-mechanical fundamentals, as well as predictive and preventative maintenance tools.
  • Working knowledge of routine and advanced data acquisition techniques.
  • Knowledge in spectral, time waveform and phase analysis.
  • Working knowledge of other condition monitoring technologies, including oil analysis, thermography, motor current analysis and ultrasonics, and their integration with vibration analysis.   


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills; expected to present at conferences and to large client gatherings.
  • Ability to conduct internal training.
