Allied Reliability Group is currently seeking a Reliability Professional (Scheduling/Planning). The position offers a competitive salary and does requires extensive travel to client sites.


Reliability Professionals are responsible for providing reliability engineering support to client organizations on an as needed basis.  Reliability Professionals work independently and as team members to assess, design, train and implement preventive maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM) and reliability continuous improvement programs.  Reliability Professionals have diverse experience in organizational management, maintenance and reliability, as well as practical experience in plant reliability and/or maintenance management. These individuals normally have exceptional skills and knowledge in particular areas such as work flow management, PM optimization, maintenance technology and/or reliability continuous improvement through FMEA, RCA, RCM, Life Cycle Cost Analysis, and other statistical methods.
Reliability Professionals have expertise in process measurement as it relates to assessing current performance, trending and documenting improvement results.

    o  General knowledge of change management best practices
    o  Proactive at contributing to the reliability body of knowledge
  • Proficient at Allied Assessment and Consulting and Training Operations policy, procedures and methods:
    o  Contribute to development of additional services
    o  Feedback to improve existing services
    o  Conduct independent assessments and implementations
  • People skills; must be able to interact comfortably, gain trust and communicate effectively
  • Work independently and in a team environment
  • Plan, schedule and manage travel, appointments and activities
  • Manage billing and keep supervisor and client informed on project accounting
  • Interview skills; ability to comfortably interact with shop floor to executive level
  • Presentation skills; be able to synthesize findings, create and deliver cogent presentations
  • Report generation; use Microsoft Office Suite to generate accurate reports with executive summary, detailed findings and recommendations for the path forward.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert in general maintenance and reliability functions; core processes, PM, PdM and reliability.
  • Facilitate the development of the site asset management strategic plan
  • Identify process gaps and incorporate corrective actions into the site asset management strategic plan on an ongoing basis.
  • Educate and drive plant departmental teamwork towards comprehensive asset management practices.
  • Acquire CMRP Certification (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional)
  • Manage project budget
  • Manage reliability improvement metric analysis activities
  • Coordinate Management of Change (MOC) activities
  • Support and/or drive data analysis activities





  • Bachelor Degree –  preferably in  Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics,
    Mathematics, Business or related fields; may be waived if demonstrated capabilities
    clearly indicate expertise.
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or must be obtained
    within first year of employment. Other certifications in related fields encouraged.
    Preference is for persons published in technical and industry publications.


  • Knowledge of machinery fundamentals, including pumps, motors, gearboxes,
    blowers, compressors, etc.
  • Detailed knowledge of general mechanical fundamentals, such as fits and
  • Strong understanding of electro-mechanical fundamentals, as well as predictive and
    preventative maintenance tools.
  • Working knowledge of routine and advanced data acquisition techniques.
  • Knowledge in spectral, time waveform and phase analysis.
  • Working knowledge of other condition monitoring technologies, including oil
    analysis, thermography, motor current analysis and ultrasonics, and their
    integration with vibration analysis.


  • Three or more years directly related maintenance and reliability experience.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills; expected to present at conferences and to large
    client gatherings.
  • Able to conduct internal training.
  • Flexibility in development and delivery methods or processes and procedure expected to assist in developing/improving processes and procedures.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Technical or industry organization leadership Knowledge of CMMS programs
    Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    Able to work well independently.
    Frequent travel; should be able to drive and fly as routine part of assignments
  • Manufacturing experience required.
