    We are looking for a Field Engineer II to support our Denver/Mountain Group Region! 

    Responsibilities

    POSITION OBJECTIVE 

    Assist Group Vice President(s), location management teams and corporate Quality and Engineering in overseeing long range capacity planning for assigned locations.

    Assume the role of technical and Reliability leader and direct execution of Reliability initiatives within assigned locations.  Stay abreast of new technical and equipment developments, develop new ideas to improve quality, cost, productivity, housekeeping, safety, and environmental compliance.  Assume the leading role for new building projects, renovations, new branches, and expansions.  Mentors Engineer I’s.

    Qualifications

    1. Communicates with management and operations to implement plans and recommendations through regular monthly reports and verbal meetings. Maintains and improves field relationships with GM’s and frontline partners.  Makes presentations with coaching and guidance from Engineer II, Manager, or Director as needed.
    2. Determines and provides input to improve equipment/building modifications and designs. Responds to information requests from field operations with some guidance from Engineer III, Manager, or Director as needed.
    3. Participates in equipment/building improvement projects from justification through installation and start up. Investigates new technology to improve the function and productivity of locations.  At times needs direction on prioritizing projects as the scope of projects change and as projects need re-prioritized.
    4. Purchases equipment, maintains relationships with vendors, contractors and suppliers and monitors their performance. Submits PO’s and timely invoice payments to vendors/suppliers. Maintains vendor/supplier relationships.
    5. Promotes, improves and supports equipment maintenance and reliability through audit process and scorecard review. Assists in the study of failures and determining potential corrective actions.
    6. Recommends methods for improving process flow, utility consumption, reorganizing work flow, and relocating work stations and equipment.
    7. Improves safety through divisional initiatives, equipment designs and process changes.
    8. Ability to Mentor Engineering I’s in all aspects of engineering.
    9. All other duties – Perform all duties as assigned including presenting information in both verbal and written form to various business levels up to and including executive levels. Use of all acquired skills and working in conditions necessary to perform all assigned and required tasks.               

     

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES 

    • Technical or Engineering related Bachelor Degree or minimum 7 years of experience in reliability as an engineering technician or minimum 5 years of experience in Cintas operations environment.
    • Basic knowledge of relevant computer software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
    • Prior experience with AutoCAD preferred
    • Ability to travel up to 60% within assigned region required
    • Strong communication skills required
