  • Overview

    Responsible to be able to clean and sanitize all required equipment and period cleaning tasks assigned to you by your team lead or manager.  You must be able to pass all SSOP pre-op inspections per corporate guidelines.  Items such as dismantling and re-assembling production equipment will be required on a daily basis and all miscellaneous tasks assigned must be completed.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Read/understand daily schedule.
    • Dismantle/re-assemble and clean production equipment (i.e. kettles, pumps, pipes, valves, drums, hill tables, belts, sifters, dryers, wrap machines, tri-paks, packers, fillers, rotoclones, bucket conveyors, syrup tanks, blenders, R & D equipment, etc.) and support equipment (i.e. coils, drains, overheads, fans, etc.).
    • Perform all other miscellaneous jobs assigned to you by your team lead or manager.
    • Follow all required “Lock Out/Tag Out” procedures and policies.
    • Troubleshoot problems before a Line Tech is needed.
    • Communicate with manager/ lead team about any mechanical issues/findings.
    • Maintain equipment used.
    • Support and help train/guide part-time employees and Kelly employees on various jobs.
    • Complete all required sanitation documentation daily without gaps.
    • Act as a team player; Assist other employees in need of help.
    • Report all safety concerns and potential hazards to a supervisor/team lead immediately.
    • Attend to any duties assigned by supervisor/team lead.
    • Accountable for the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) standards as outlined in the plant’s QRMP accountability document, including the implementation, improvement and ongoing maintenance

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Lift 50 pounds.
    • Constant bending, twisting, and kneeling.
    • Able to climb a ladder.
    • Able to become certified to operate all PIT equipment.
    • Able to be trained for Confined Space Entry.
    • Able to work in areas that contain dust and starch particles.
    • Able to work in hot and humid conditions.
    • Complete any required sanitation verifications.
    • Maintain a basic understanding of sanitation chemicals.
