  • Overview

    To lead the creation of long term value for a diversified industrial manufacturer -  electrical and mechanical maintenance and reliability strategy to increase overall uptime and reduce electrical/mechanical and process control breakdowns while keeping the highest standards on health and safety toward our associates.    

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and promote a safety culture where hazards identification and prevention become a second nature of our daily routine
    • Knowledge of all general plant safety rules
    • Provide urgent solutions to safety action items and findings.
    • Lead and mentor all the area technicians by fulfilling all duties related but not limited to preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance.
    • Assist and provide resources to mitigate the impact of unplanned events (breakdowns)
    • Maintain and promote excellent communication and good working relationship with our stakeholders and other team members
    • Any other job duties deemed necessary for this position
    • Compliance to company quality policy in plant services.
    • Foster a positive working environment and assist others when needed
    • Manage area budget for plant services to ensure cost-efficient operations
    • Utilize Milliken Performance System in area for maximum operational efficiency in a lean manufacturing environment
    • Implement and sustain Planned Maintenance pillar competencies
    • Establish, implement, and evaluate both short-term and long-term goals with Area Engineering Services team
    • Complete jobs within budget and on time
    • Determine staffing requirements and work schedules based on current projects and goals

    Qualifications

    • BS in Engineering with at least 2 years of manufacturing experience.
    • Must possess working knowledge of plant equipment or similar manufacturing experience
    • General working knowledge of electrical parts such as switchgears, motors and PLC’s
    • General working knowledge of mechanical parts such as bearings, pulleys, belts, gearboxes, and roll alignment
    • Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
    • Must be highly organized and results driven to complete required tasks
    • Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
    • Ability to traverse catwalks, step-ladders, a-frame ladders, and extension ladders
