  • Overview

    Currently seeking a Electrical Reliability Engineer

    Responsibilities

    Responsible for electrical reliability engineering on the Burkville Site. The focus will be to implement proactive solutions to improve EHS&S, cost, and asset reliability.  This will include the optimization of preventive and predictive maintenance programs and identification and correction of long standing maintenance issues. Will require working closely with Process Availability Leaders in the different units, Maintenance Leaders, Reliability Specialists, and other key stakeholders from a wide variety of Site functions.

    Accountabilities:

    -Serve as the Site Electrical Installation Responsible Person (EIRP).
    -Lead Site Management program initiatives centered around electrical safety (SHEMS)
    -Provide necessary support for troubleshooting of electrical equipment
    -Establish preventive and predictive maintenance programs in each operation as needed
    -Identify leading edge maintenance technology that drives area performance
    -Assist in the development of maintenance personnel training procedures and provide training as needed
    -Identify, engineer, and implement projects/programs that help increase productivity and ensure stability across the site
    -Serve as the subject matter expert for electrical standards and practices.
    -Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts related to electrical equipment

     

    -Experience in the chemical industry with Process Safety Management (PSM) background 
    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
    -Excellent organizational and team building skills 
    -Self-Motivated

    Qualifications

    Requirements:
    -B.S. in Electrical Engineering
    -Minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering with applicable experience as an Electrical Engineer in an industrial facility
    -Familiarity with Maintenance Management Systems
    -Must have experience with Electrical Engineering and troubleshooting of low, medium, and high (115KV/13.8KV) voltage distribution systems and switchgear, AC/DC variable drives, plant instrumentation and controls
    -Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with operations, technical, mechanical/electrical maintenance crafts people
    -Familiarity with Reliability techniques, including Root Cause Analysis and Reliability Centered Maintenance
    -Familiarity with PC applications such as Word, Excel
