Drive reliability performance by using the most appropriate and effective tools and techniques.
Provide technical support to Production and Maintenance personnel, lead or participate in Root Cause Failure Analyses, and monitor KPI data for early identification and resolution of reliability issues.
Collaborate with Production and Maintenance personnel and provide services related to design review, repair, and maintenance, including predictive/preventative maintenance activities.
Supply technical support to troubleshooting of problems and optimization of PM and PdM programs.
Ensure a culture of continuous improvement employing LEAN Manufacturing tools.
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in petrochemical maintenance and/or reliability.
Ability to work with Asset Effectiveness resources to identify improvement opportunities, and propose and implement sustainable solutions for rotating and fixed mechanical equipment.
Solid understanding of maintenance and reliability work processes.
Strong background in equipment troubleshooting, including root cause failure analysis and implementation of improvement efforts.
Thorough background in utilization of PdM tools (e.g., vibration analysis, lube oil analysis, thermograph) for equipment condition evaluation and improvement.
Background in optimization of equipment PM activities and strategies.
Ability to communicate effectively with facts and figures, along with the ability to influence, persuade, and negotiate. Strong interpersonal skills are required in this position.
Knowledge and experience to provide technical guidance.
Thorough knowledge of mechanical equipment design and detailed understanding of maintenance and reliability activities associated with process equipment such as centrifugal pumps, piping systems, pressure vessels (including heat exchangers), atmospheric storage tanks, positive displacement pumps, relief devices, and compressors of various design.
General knowledge of reliability tools such as bad actor program management, FMEA, equipment criticality, and equipment strategies.
