  • Overview

    The E/I Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing safe, comprehensive job plans for all Electrical and Instrumentation work for the Recovery and Utilities area of the Port Wentworth Mill including both daily and shutdown related activities. The E/I Planner is a key member of the Recovery and Utilities maintenance leadership team and shares responsibilities for guiding and shaping the direction of this high performance team. They report to the R/U Area Maintenance Manager. They work closely with the E/I Front Line Leader to deliver comprehensive job plans that maximize the team’s effectiveness at safely executing the right work at the right time while meeting our high standard of quality.


    Job Responsibilities also include:

    • Partners with Area Process Managers and Front Line Leaders to ensure efficient prioritization, planning, and coordination of maintenance work
    • Responsible for daily outage maintenance planning
    • Scope, bid, and award contractor work that is both safe and effective
    • Daily effective communication with hourly and salaried team members
    • Effectively maintain planned work order backlog to ensure the team executes the right work at the right time
    • Create and maintain BoM’s and PM plans
    • Continuously looks for the most cost effective solutions that deliver safe and reliable results
    • Understand, support, and execute the Manufacturing Work System process
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks at varying levels of completion and priority
    • Participates in weekend duty rotation
    • Occasionally backfills for E/I Maintenance FLL and/or AMM
    • Night, weekend, and long hours as required to support the team’s efforts



    • High School diploma or GED
    • 3-5 years of maintenance planning preferred
    • 5 years of maintenance experience
    • Demonstrated knowledge of reliability concepts and application
    • Ability to read schematics and technical documents
    • Proficient in SAP and MS Office products.
