    Allied Reliability Group is currently accepting resumes for our Maintenance Mechanic position in the St. Louis, MO region. The perfect candidate will have a high degree of competence, skill and proficiency in Aluminum Rolling plant maintenance. Must be a self-starter that requires very little oversight. Must possess a preeminent level of mechanical skills while performing all work safely. Under the supervision of the Maintenance Group Leader, the Maintenance Mechanic is primarily responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on all equipment in compliance with established safety rules, policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will work effectively within our culture. 


    Principal Job Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate a strong safety conscience and completes work orders in a safe and appropriate manner
    • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment
    • Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics/blueprints and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
    • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
    • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
    • Ability to accomplish general and preventative maintenance tasks for Plant coolant system towers to safety/operational specifications
    • Perform general and preventative maintenance requirements for all types of pumps (centrifugal, reciprocating, vane, etc.) to safety/operational specs
    • Participates in the preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, 5S, and RI Events
    • Identifies and reports opportunities for improvement of PM’s and spare parts controls
    • Works within an environment focused on the reduction of unplanned downtime
    • Works collaboratively with other functional areas to ensure accomplishment of overall plant objectives
    • Applies lean manufacturing tools & principles in maintenance activities




    • Strong mechanical and detailed knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
    • Needs background in close tolerance work
    • Ability to read mechanical blue prints
    • Familiar with micrometers, and other close tolerance measurement tools
    • Knowledge of large bore bearing maintenance and general preventative maintenance practices
    • Knowledge of liquid transfer systems a plus
    • Must be able to operate within Standard Work and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
    • Must be able to operate overhead cranes, mobile cranes, forklifts, and other mobile equipment
    • Knowledge of alignment skills and vibration monitoring
    • Welding Certifications
    • Must have own tools
    • Must be able to work within scheduling requirements to include Mandatory Overtime
