The Boiler Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of large Industrial boilers and water heaters.
Resolve Burner/boiler combustion problems
Resolve alarm conditions created from flame safeguard and safety limit controls
Resolve problems with boiler process instrumentation such as: loop controllers, recorders, transmitters, thermocouples etc.
Maintain all equipment per manufacturer’s requirements
Proven experience with process instrumentation such as loop controller, recorders, transmitters, thermocouples etc.
Advanced technical knowledge and experience in the following areas: electrical theory and formulas, boiler and burner configurations, steam/hot water system layout, heat transfer, combustion theory, flame safeguard and safety limit controls
Troubleshooting, routine service and emergency service
Minimum of 5 – 7 years of direct, relevant experience with the servicing and maintenance of steam and hot water boilers, burners; associated controls, electrical circuits, combustion and associated piping systems.
Experience troubleshooting and performing both routine & emergency service of boilers, burners and other related equipment.
