  • Overview

    Allied Reliability Group is working with a large Kubota tractor and equipment dealership, looking for a Service Advisor who will be responsible for the overall quality control process. The Service Advisor will ensure the consistent quality of products and\or services by implementing quality control standards to all processes which certifies that our required deliverables are in compliance with quality standards. The Service Advisor will provide overall quality control, supervision, and guidance to all team members. The Service Advisor must be personable and able to interact with various customers efficiently and effectively. Interaction with internal personnel is also vital for implementation of a quality control system that is embraced by the workforce. 

     

    Responsibilities

    • Advises Customers About Necessary Service For Routine Maintenance
    • Helps identify a mechanical problem by questioning the customer or doing a visual inspection or test.
    • Confers with customers about inspection results, recommend corrective procedures, and prepare work order for needed repairs.
    • Prepares a repair order showing time, cost and labor estimates for service.
    • Writes a brief description of the customer's concern on the repair order to help the technician locate the problem.
    • Explains the work performed and the repair order charges to the customer.
    • Handles customer complaints.
    • Schedules service appointments. Obtains customer and equipment data prior to arrival when possible.
    • Advises customers on the care of their equipment and the value of maintaining the equipment in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.
    • Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
    • Notifies dispatcher of incoming work.
    • Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
    • Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate.
    • Implements a quality control process to eliminate comebacks.
    • Maintains high customer satisfaction standards.
    • Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.
    • Inspects all equipment for body work, informs customer if work is needed, and provides an estimate for body work.

    Qualifications

    General Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
    • One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Hands-on mechanical ability - especially with heavy duty equipment (tractors, diesel engines/equipment, etc.). 
    • Ability to troubleshoot equipment/machinery when needed. 
    • Experience working with Kubota tractors a huge plus.
    • Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be detailed orientated.
    • Intermediate computer skills preferred.
    • Able to understand blueprints. 
    • Must have adequate tools to complete assigned duties. Understand the value that quality plays in the overall success of the company, help in increasing the quality of our products for the appearance and safety for our customers.
    • Ability to think on your own and request assistance when needed.
    • Must pass a drug test and criminal background check prior to employment.
    • Must have a valid drivers license. 

    Language Skills

    •  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
    •  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

       

    Mathematical Skills

    •  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
    •  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
