Overview

The Lead Analyst is responsible for providing communication between the company and employees that are under their supervision.  The lead analyst coordinates activities and schedules work as necessary, as well as prepare the necessary reports and required audits. The Lead Analyst will be accountable for the overall safety of the work environment for the crew, including ensuring compliance with Company, client, OSHA, and all other applicable standards.  Will perform and oversee specific projects and programs as assigned.  Is expected to be a technical resource to the client and employees in the troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment.  This is a direct hire opportunity which will require a full-time onsite commitment. 

Responsibilities

Duties will include monthly vibration data collection, analysis, and reporting. As a Lead Analyst, this position will oversee all technologies implemented at the site; this includes Infrared Thermography (mechanical & electrical), Motor Circuit Analysis (MCA) On/Offline and Oil Analysis.  Strong customer service skills and client relations experience are  amust.  The ability to be self-managed is necessary for success. 

 

Perform program setup as required.

  • Responsible for equipment walk down and information gathering, building and maintaining technology databases, and ability to perform advanced setup work such as AHM, Criticality Analysis, etc.

Assume responsibility for communication and education between the company and clients. 

  • Responsible for communicating the Company deliverables to the client, conducting Technology Awareness Sessions, and having the ability to submit documented case studies for customer/employee newsletters.

Collect, Analyze, and Report on Technology Data

  • Collect data in accordance with Company Best Practices standards, maintain technology databases with current information, and report results in a clear and concise manner following all Company procedures for content.

Responsible for necessary auditing, metrics and reporting, including but not limited to:

  • Responsible for ensuring all databases in compliance with current standards, managing all database changes, Nuisance Alarm Management, Change Process Adherence, and for the accuracy and the timeliness of all internal and external communications and reporting.

Assume responsibility for the overall safety of the work environment.

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with Company, client, OSHA, and other applicable standards and perform Behavioral Safety Observations as needed. 

Assume responsibility for ensuring that the Company Best Practice Methods are communicated.

Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

  • Perform special projects as assigned and ensure that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.

Training/Mentoring – A few of the activities in the area of Training/Mentoring will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in training/mentoring of new employees and be able to convey obtained knowledge from seminar/training sessions.

Able and willing to work on-call situations and off shifts as required by customers or management.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.  College Degree preferred.

  • Minimum ASNT Level II Vibration Analysis Certification.  Level I Certification in at least one other PdM technology (IR, MCA, Oil) is desired.

  • At least 5 years ' field experience and knowledge of reliability principles.

  • Knowledge of machinery fundamentals, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, etc.  Detailed knowledge of general mechanical fundamentals, such as fits and tolerances.

  • Working knowledge of routine and advanced data acquisition techniques.

  • Knowledge in spectral, time waveform and phase analysis.  Working knowledge of other condition monitoring technologies, including oil analysis, thermography, motor current analysis and ultrasonics, and their integration.

  • Knowledge of machinery fundamentals, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, switchgear etc.  Detailed knowledge of general mechanical fundamentals, such as fits and tolerances.  Working knowledge of routine and advanced data acquisition techniques.  Working knowledge of other condition monitoring technologies.

  • Must Have good communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work well independently.        
  • Repetitive Motions - Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

  • Talking - Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.

  • Good Visual Abilities - Keen visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate, inspect and adjust machinery.

  • Average Hearing - Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.

  • Physical Strength - Active work; often standing and/or lifting for long periods of time.  Exerts up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally.

  • Ability to deal with a variety of variables under often hazardous work conditions.  Able to interpret and communicate various instructions.

  • Ability to perform basic math skills, use decimals to compute ratios and percents, and to draw and interpret graphs.

  • Ability to read a variety of books, magazines, instruction manuals, etc.

  • Ability to prepare memos, reports, and essays using proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar. 

  • Approved US work status.
