Overview

Allied Reliability Group is currently looking for an Electrical Analyst in the San Francisco, CA area.

 

Electrical Analysts perform technical activities and prepare necessary reports and audits. They are accountable for their respective overall technical deliverable for the Electrical Services Division including ensuring compliance with Allied, client, and other applicable standards.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

 

  • Demonstrates competence in:
    • Performing arc flash risk assessment analysis and/or modeling.
    • Performing infrared thermography surveys, analysis, and reporting of electrical systems
    • Utilizing either EasyPower or SKM software for modeling and analysis.
  • Provides general electrical testing expertise to client organizations and internal ARG team members in accordance with ARG and industry consensus standards.
  • Collects field data in support of analysis as needed
  • Supports clients and employees on technical requests
  • Researches and stays on the top of new technology to assist in creating businesses cases for the application of these technologies
  • Communicates need, ideas, and suggestions for improvements to technical deliverable
  • Communicates the Allied message to the client and to the employees
  • Participates in technical conference calls and meetings

Qualifications

Education/Certification:     

  • Analysts must have Level 2 Certification (or equivalent) in Infrared Thermography.
  • Level 1 Certification (or equivalent) in secondary technology is preferred.
  • Associate’s Degree – preferably in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, Mathematics, Business or related fields; may be waived if demonstrated capabilities clearly indicate expertise.

                                                               

Required Knowledge:             

  • Electrical power system testing/analysis
  • General knowledge in National Electric Code standards and design criteria
  • Knowledge of electrical fundamentals, including; transformers, switchgears, distribution systems, relays, circuit breakers, etc.
  • Strong understanding of electrical drafting techniques and applicable standards, including dimensioning symbols, tolerances, and notes; ability to interpret electrical drawings and recognize electrical architecture apparatus.

Experience Required:

  • Seven or more years directly related electrical service experience

TRAVEL:                                              

  • Must be able and willing to travel 50%-75%
