We have an immediate opening for a Director - Reliability Assurance located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Director Reliability Assurance will be integrally involved in developing and implementing Corporate Strategic Reliability plans and broad objectives, Reliability policies and guidelines consistent with the overall Corporate objectives and integrating these plans, policies and guidelines for all necessary operating units.
Incumbent will have ownership of the Reliability programs for major business units within the corporation. Incumbent will be expected to provide Reliability leadership and build an improved “Reliability Culture” within the organization by creating and enhancing Reliability awareness utilizing Reliability Engineering tools, processes and methodologies.
Provide leadership, expertise and direction in the implementation of Maintenance Reliability strategies across all Flat Roll manufacturing facilities to achieve desired process stability goals.
Responsible for development and execution of multiple improvement programs and projects across the Maintenance and Reliability functions. Provide technical expertise and support to ensure that Preventative / Predictive Programs, Maintenance Planning Processes are executed to meet current and long term operations objectives.
Responsible for providing leadership, direction and assistance in conducting analysis of system maintainability and reliability studies of equipment; develop and utilize appropriate surveillance and feedback systems to generate and evaluate data. Perform Root Cause Analysis of systems and subsystems within a manufacturing environment to obtain “best in class” status.
Develop, establish and maintain Reliability program objectives, plans, policies and guidelines to maximize process stability.
Responsible for Performance Management of direct reports and provides guidance and leadership to help individuals achieve goals.
Provide recommendations for changes in selection and application of techniques, equipment and / or materials.
BS in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent required. Masters degree in Reliability is preferred.
Ten plus years of progressive and practical supervisor and management experience with a focus in manufacturing operations, reliability maintenance, or reliability engineering experience.
Six Sigma Certification preferred.
