  • Overview

    Install , maintain and troubleshoot various utility equipment including but not limited to Compressors, Chillers, HVAC units .This position will be also be supporting compounding operation by attending trouble calls and  maintaining the compounding tanks, pumps, Product transfer systems, Requires good  fabrication skills with cutting, welding, grinding and basic machine shop operations. Must have experience with building maintenance and use of hand tools and power tools .Must have some  basic knowledge of electricity. Strong Knowledge of Lock Out/ Tag Out, Confined space entry, Hot-work permit and Alcohol-PSM programs are preferred. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with company policies, procedures, rules and regulations.

    Responsibilities

    • Install, maintain, trouble shoot & repair various utility and compounding equipment including compressors, boilers, chillers, Heat exchangers, wastewater system, HVAC units, water treatment system (DI),high pressure sanitizer system hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, mix tanks, storage tanks, batching system, etc.
    • Perform Fabrication which may require cutting, welding, bending, grinding and with the help of shop drawings or directions from management.
    • Inspect and perform plant wide building maintenance including but not limited to plumbing (repair leaks, replacing faucets, unclogging drains, etc.), floor and wall repairs, roof repairs, painting.
    • Attend trouble calls and support compounding operations to ensure standard quality & efficiency and minimize all down time.
    • Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled maintenance as per MP2 work orders. Reads and interprets the equipment manual, P& I diagram for major repairs and trouble shooting and order parts to maintain the inventory of critical spares.
    • Work closely with engineering and outside contractors to assist them in any projects and equipment /system installation and upgrades
    • Perform hot work permit operations and confined space entry as needed.

    Qualifications

    Preferred Experience: 

     

    • 5 years of experience in similar manufacturing industry with a strong knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, automation systems and some basic of electricity.

     

    Preferred Education: 

     

    • High School diploma or equivalent

     

    Preferred Skills: 

    • good mathematical, reading and visualization skills, good manual dexterity, ability to work well with others and needing minimum supervision
