The role of this position is to plan, organize and direct the maintenance of plant equipment and structures, in a safe and efficient manner, in order to product the highest quality product at optimum cost and with minimum downtime. The maintenance team consists of approximately 30 individuals of various skills; Minor capital projects completion is also a responsibility of this position.


  • Lead maintenance activities, including scheduling, parts procurement, equipment surveys, expenditure approvals, performance reviews, company policy enforcement, and monitoring of routine contractor service and departmental communication.
  • Confer with General Manager on project planning and corrective maintenance priorities.
  • Assist in management of Capital Projects as required.
  • Oversee work order and inventory systems and equipment history.
  • Review monthly expenditures for correctness and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Monitor monthly wastewater reporting for compliance.

Enforce and comply with all GMP/HACCP and Safety rules and regulations. Attend and/or conduct Safety meetings as required



-      Departmental reports such as down time, equipment expenditures, weekly utility reports, employee productivity, etc.

-      Supervision of departmental training, including safety.

  • Must possess very good organizational, personnel and troubleshooting skills
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills, and good math skills
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of all facility machinery and equipment as well as facility structures
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred; will consider Technical training with leadership roles
  • Minimum 7 years’ combined experience as mechanic and foreperson/supervisor
  • Must have computer experience, Word, Excel and ability to understand CMMS software

Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
