Contract to Permanent (Full Time)


Maintenance Technicians will be responsible to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance functions. Must be knowledgeable in mechanical, basic electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics as well as PLC Controls. 


Level 5

  • Four years experience as an electrical craftsman.
  • Possess documented training in PLC’s, basic instrumentation and industrial electronics or passes an exam administered by the electrical engineer or the senior Electronics Technician.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in PLC control systems.
  • Diagnose and correct faults in electrical distribution systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex faults in induction heating systems
  • Install and calibrate electrical instrumentation.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of safe and proper use of the more advanced electrical diagnostic equipment such as AC powered oscilloscopes.
  • Works independently with little or no supervision.
  • Must be able to program digital motor controllers.


Level 6

  • Five years experience as an electrical craftsman
  • Possesses understanding of systems such that he/she is able to suggest to electrical engineer program modifications within PLC’s and provide necessary documentation for such modifications.
  • Demonstrate ability to plan and direct installation of equipment.
  • Exhibit competency in training and developing personnel.
  • Superior ability to develop and recommend solutions and improvements to complex equipment and systems resulting in reduced cost and/or improved up time.
  • Must demonstrate technical competency by passing the senior electrician exam.
  • Must provide documentation showing completion of formal training in the electrical field.
  • Must provide documentation of professional, technical, or administrative training (Associate’s degree in Electrical or Electronics). An equivalent combination of education and work related experience may be acceptable.  Minimum of five- (5) year’s work related experience is required.



Broad technical training (high school +1-3 years apprenticeship/applied trades training-industrial experience preferred).  Training requires a basic knowledge in the use of shop mathematics together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, various types of precision measuring instruments.



A minimum of 5 years work-related experience is required.


An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable.
